E shram card : The Ministry of Labor and Employment has launched a national database e-Labour Portal for unorganized sector workers in 2021. Any person working in the unorganized sector can apply for Shramik Card or e-Shram Card. Today we will know about the benefits, eligibility and online application of this card.

With the help of this portal, a data base of unorganized workers working in states/UTs will created. Any domestic worker or unorganized sector worker can register themselves under this. Shram Portal is providing registration facility under 30 broad business sectors and around 400 businesses.

Any person working in the unorganized sector can apply for Shram Card. Under this, unorganized sector workers can get benefits like pension after 60 years, death insurance, Financial assistance If the worker suffers partial disability. Under this, beneficiaries will get a 12 digit UAN number valid across India.

Creating a all unorganized workers  database, including migrant worker, construction workers and platform workers, hawkers, domestic workers, agricultural workers, etc., who want to link Aadhaar. Integration of social security schemes for unorganized workers administered by the Ministry of Labor and Employment and by other ministries.

Eligibility For E Shram Card

• Labor or any person working in the unorganized sector
• Age 16-59 years
• Valid mobile number

E Shram Card Benefits

1. Under this, there is a provision to pay a pension of Rs 3,000 per month to those working in the unorganized sector after the age of 60 years.
2. Under this scheme, If the worker suffers partial disability, they receive Rs. 1,00,000. and worker’s death insurance benefit of Rs. 2,00,000 is provided.
3. If any beneficiary (an unorganized sector worker, with an e-labor card) dies accidentally, all benefits will given to their spouse.

E Shram Card Online Apply

• To register on Shram Portal, registration can done through self-registration.
• For self-registration, you can use eShram portal and Unified Mobile Application for New-Age Governance (UMANG) mobile app.
• For assisted mode registration, you can visit Common Service Center (CSC) and State Service Centers (SSK).

Steps to Apply Online for E Shram Card Yojana

• Visit e-Shram Portal (Self-Registration Page)
• Enter the mobile number linked with Aadhaar and captcha code and click on the ‘Send OTP’ button.
• After this an OTP will sent to your the mobile number. Enter the OTP and verify.
• Enter all required details like address, educational qualification, select skill name, business type and work type.
• Now submit your bank details. After this an OTP will sent to your the mobile number, enter it
• Now the details of shram card will appear on your screen. Now click on download and your shram card will downloaded.

E Shram Card Download

1. Visit e-shram portal.
2. Click on the ‘Already Enrolled’ tab and select the ‘Update/Download UAN Card’ option.
3. Enter UAN Number, Date of Birth, Captcha Code and click on ‘Generate OTP’ button.
4. Enter the OTP and verify.
5. Confirm your all personal details that appear on the screen.
6. Click on the Preview option to verify the all details entered and next  ‘Submit’ your application.
7. OTP will sent to the mobile number. Enter the received OTP and ‘Verify’.
8. Shram Card will generated and will appear on the screen.
9. Shram Card can downloaded by clicking on download option.
