PM Surya Ghar Yojana : The central government has launched an innovative scheme that provides the common man with up to 300 units of free electricity per month. The government has launched PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. This scheme will benefit 1 crore families. The new scheme provides subsidies to people who install rooftop solar systems. A minimum grant of Rs. 30,000 will be provided under this scheme.

Under the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, individuals installing a 1-kW rooftop solar system will receive a subsidy of Rs 30,000. 2 kW Rooftop Solar System Installers Rs. 60,000 subsidy, and installing 3 kW rooftop solar systems will get Rs. 78,000 subsidy will be available. • First of all you have to register on the portal, for that select your state and electricity distribution company. After this you have to enter your electricity customer number, mobile number and email.
• In the second step, login with customer number and mobile number and apply for rooftop solar as per the form.
• In the third step, after receiving Feasibility Approval, have the plant installed by any registered vendor.
• After completing the installation, provide the details of the solar system and apply for a net meter.
• In the next phase, after installing the net meter and verifying it by the DISCOM, the portal will generate a commissioning certificate.
• IOn the Final Authenticity Commissioning Report, provide you bank account details and submit the canceled cheque. You will get the subsidy in your bank account within 30 days.

• No member of the applicant should be in government employment..
• Citizens of all castes will be eligible for this scheme.

• First of all you have to visit the official website of pm surya ghar yojana. Go to https://pmsuryaghar.gov.in/
• On the home page, you have to click on the Apply for Rooftop Solar option in the Right Side section.
• You need to choose your state and district names on this page.
• After this you have to select the electricity distribution company name and enter the customer account number.
• click on the “Next” option.
• Now enter your information asked in the registration form.
• After filling all the information you have to upload the required documents.
